Kiwi Red Bull FMXer Nick Franklin has received a last-minute call-up to this weekend's round of the Red Bull X-Fighters in Madrid.
Franky is a regular performer in the X-Fighters Jams that go down in exotic locations around the world, as the energy drink company scopes out possible epic locations for future X-FIghters events.
The Tokoroa lad hasn't received a call-up to an X-Fighters contest since 2009, but with a few holes in the starting line-up due to injury and/or X Games in two short weeks (no Nate Adams, Clinton Moore, Taka Higashino, Levi Sherwood, Mat Rebeaud etc) Franklin has made it into the mix.
Fellow Unit rider Maikel Melero has also received an invite to his home event. He will be looking to improve on his ninth place result at previous round in Rome and capitalise on his homeground advantage.
